Argyro Grigoraki is a graduate of the Department of History and Archeology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as the Department of Art History and Archaeology of the University of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne. She holds a DEA of Prehistory, Ethnology, Anthropology, with a specialization in Aegean Prehistory from Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
She has attended seminars on ancient Egyptian archaeology and language at the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne, the École Pratique des Hautes Études and the Institut Supérieur d’ Égyptologie-Khéops.
She joined the Archaeological Service in 2000 and worked as an archaeologist in the Department of Prehistoric and Classical Archaeological Sites, Monuments and Archaeological Works of the Directorate of Prehistoric & Classical Antiquities until April of 2021, while during the period 2006-2010 she served as an archaeologist at the Ephorate of Antiquities of Ilia (former VII EPKA).
Since May 2021, she is a Curator of Antiquities in the Department of the Collection of Prehistoric, Egyptian, Cypriot & Oriental Antiquities, working on the Egyptian Collection.
She writes articles in scientific journals, essays and entries in exhibition catalogues: https://ypppo.academia.edu/ArgyroGrigoraki and she has participated in excavations in Ilia, Laconia, Chania and Rethymnon. She speaks English and French.
