She is a graduate of a public Conservation Institute (IEK). Katerina Xilina has been working since 2002 at the National Archaeological Museum in the Ceramics and Minor Arts Conservation Laboratory.

Her main duties are the preventive and active conservation of Ceramics and Glass objects of the Vase and Minor Arts Collection. She participates in various programs of the Museum, among them the improvement of the storage of the permanent Collection of Vases and Minor Arts, especially the delicate white lekyths.

She has participated in the preparation and installation of the Permanent Exhibition of the National Archaeological Museum from 2002 to 2005 and in several periodic exhibitions of the National Archaeological Museum in Greece and abroad.
