Panagiotis Lazaris holds a Bachelor’s degree (BA Hons) in Conservation and Restoration of Artworks and Craftsmanship from Brunel University and a Master’s degree (MA) in Conservation of Historic Objects from De Montfort University in the United Kingdom.

He has been working at the Ministry of Culture since 2002, and since 2011, he has been employed at the National Archaeological Museum, in the Conservation Laboratory of Organic Materials. He is responsible for the preventive and active conservation of the Museum’s organic materials, particularly wooden objects from the Egyptian Collection. He has participated in the preparation and installation of numerous temporary exhibitions of the National Archaeological Museum in Greece and abroad.

With a keen interest in new technologies and their applications in cultural heritage (3D scanning and printing of models), he has represented the Museum in research programs related to this field.

Panagiotis Lazaris is a member of the Pan-Hellenic Association of Conservators of Antiquities (PESA) and the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
